P3DM for self-determination and cultural survival: Ancestral domains claims in the Philippines

 

1:5,000 scale model of the Samahan Ng Mga Ayta sa Banawen (SABA) Ancestral Domain (R03-CADC-043), San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines.

The model ( Yr 1999) covers and area of 360 km2 and includes the ancestral domain of 38.58 km2.

The  model has been instrumental in gathering evidence supporting ownership of the ancestral domain, delineating boundaries, filing the CADC/CADT applications and preparing the Ancestral Domain Management Plan required by law.

Method:  PGIS including P3DM, GPS and GIS  

1:5000 scale 3-D model under construction by Aeta Indigenous Peoples

Model produced with the assistance of the Philippine Association for Inter-Cultural Development (PAFID).
