PAFID
operations and activities are generously funded by grants received
through partnership agreements with various development agencies.
The following organizations and institutions have been supporting
PAFID and providing critical assistance in its work with Indigenous
Peoples.
MISEREOR,
the social action arm of the Catholic church of Germany has supported
PAFID since the early 90s' through regular grants to the
National Land Tenure Program. In the past 14 years, funding from
the MISEREOR has enabled the PAFID to continue with its field activities,
conduct trainings, facilitate community mobilizations, undertake
survey and delineation of ancestral domains, procure critical equipment,
and support the administrative requirements of the organization.
The
Biodiversity
Support Program (BSP) provided the initial investment to
which enabled the PAFID to secure its 1st set of mapping equipment.
Through a modest grant from the BSP in 1994, the PAFID was able
to secure Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment and embark on
its maiden effort to map and delineate the extents of the ancestral
domain of the Buhid Mangyan peoples and the Hanunuo Mangyan
Peoples in the island of Mindoro in the southern part of the Philippines.
The
UNDP-Small Grants Program has provided grants to support
the Community-Based Biodiversity Conservation initiative of the
Agta Peoples of Aurora Province and to the Manobo Peoples of Portulin,
Bukidnon.
The
CORDAID
provides support for our Health and Literacy Project in South
Central Bukidnon. For the past 2 years, CORDAID has been a very
partner in sustaining PAFID activities in the delivery of basic
health and literacy services for 11 Manobo communities in Bukidnon.
In
partnership with the Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE),
the PAFID has been able to conduct trainings on Community Mapping
and Land Use Planning through 3D-Modelling. To date 6 NGO-partners
of the FPE along with their Community/PO counterparts have been
trained under the partnership.
The
Katutubong Samahan sa Pilipinas (KASAPI) a national coalition
of Indigenous Peoples has been a partner of the PAFID since its
inception. PAFID continues to work hand-in-hand with the KASAPI
in the field of Capacity Building and networking.
