Vision: Integrated conservation and development interventions founded on genuine people's participation

Mission: Dedicated to assuring grassroots' participation in the project cycle (design, appraisal, implementation, monitoring and evaluation).
Committed to facilitating the interaction of less favored groups of society with local government institutions and donor agencies

Goals

To encourage the adoption of participatory methods for mapping and land use planning to improve community-based natural resource management.

To provide stakeholders with grassroots-based, relatively accurate research, planning, and monitoring tools to empower them in dealing with outside institutions.

To promote the diffusion of Participatory 3D Modeling (P3DM) as best practice for merging people's knowledge and traditional spatial information.

To act as focal point for sharing information and technical progress on community-based mapping with particular focus on 3-D modeling.

To be a reference point for world-wide achievements in 3D modeling.

To become an international meeting point for practitioners in community mapping and participatory GIS.

To share information relevant to community mapping, P3DM, PPGIS, MiGIS and P-GIS.
