Participatory 3-Dimensional Model, Burmu (Ranchi) Jharkand, India

mage courtesy of Swarup Saha, NESPON © / 2009 Image courtesy of Swarup Saha, NESPON © / 2009 The model measuring 0.6 m x 0.6 m has been manufactured on 7-13 September, 2009 by the Adivasi, an umbrella term for a heterogeneous set of ethnic and tribal groups claimed to be the aboriginal population of India. The model has been done to assist participants in becoming more aware of their ancestral rights on land and other resources, the vast and valuable knowledge they hold and to strengthen their capacity to articulate such and communicate with external entities.

The exercise served also as a training ground for Participatory 3D model making and for using CyberTracker, GPS icon based geocoding device.
